A Story for People in Transition<\/strong><\/h2><\/div>\n\n\n\n
Once upon a time, there was a young woman. After graduating from hotel management school in Salzburg, she worked in the hospitality industry in Austria and Switzerland. At the age of 23, she had a child \u2014 a daughter. She was a single mother and had to leave behind the dream of exploring the big wide world and return to her hometown, where she received support from her family. For the time being, her dreams of seeing the world had fallen apart. It was not easy. As a result, she could no longer pursue her dream of becoming a flight attendant. She needed stable working hours and had to change careers in order to find suitable work while raising her daughter well under those circumstances...

\n<\/summary>She loved English and French and eventually found a job as a secretary in a well-known industrial company. At first, she was not particularly interested in the product \u2014 it was very industrial, very technical. It felt foreign to her. But that changed quickly. She became increasingly comfortable in her new field and developed a passion for her international customers, the fascinating business, and the product itself. She became more and more engaged in this environment \u2014 with joy and enthusiasm. As time went on, she was gradually entrusted with greater responsibility. Her managers at the time supported and encouraged her. After several years, she became Head of Customer Service. Once she had become highly skilled in that role and was actively supporting her boss, the Sales Director, both professionally and in leadership responsibilities, the company\u2019s management team proposed that she succeed him as International Sales Director of a company generating \u20ac100 million in revenue.\n\nShe was shocked. \u201cMe, Sales Director? Taking on so much responsibility? Could I handle that much pressure? Would my colleagues still like me if I became their superior? Would customers take me seriously as a woman in a male-dominated industry? Do I fit the image of a Sales Director?\u201d Her answers were: \u201cNo, probably not.\u201d\n\nShe felt too small and not capable of carrying such great responsibility. So, she declined. Besides, she was content with her life and felt comfortable where she was.

\n\nThe management team believed she had the potential to help lead the company forward, but mentally she was not ready yet. They gave her time \u2014 a lot of time. During the six months they waited for her decision, she felt deeply ambivalent. From yes to no. From no to yes. Her thoughts swung back and forth between doubt and opportunity, and everything in between.

\n\nAnd how could such a demanding and time-consuming job be balanced with raising her daughter? By then, her daughter had grown into a teenager, but that did not mean she no longer needed her mother. How could everything possibly work together successfully?

\n\nAfter much hesitation, she gathered all her courage, decided to trust herself enough to step into leadership, and accepted the challenge. In the end, one inner voice became stronger than all the others:\n\n\u201cWhat could I possibly lose, other than gaining valuable experience?\u201d\n\nAnd so she took the leap into the icy water \u2014 splash.\n\nAt first, some of her male colleagues challenged her heavily and were skeptical. The first two years were tough. She had sleepless nights and put enormous pressure on herself \u2014 as if the pressure of the job itself were not already enough. Most of that pressure came from her inner dialogue, which sometimes stood in her own way. Her self-image at the time still did not align with the image she had in mind of a Sales Director.\n\nBut over time, she became increasingly comfortable in her role. She grew into it and gradually realized: \u201cYes \u2014 I can do this.\u201d\n\nShe did, in fact, possess all the necessary competencies \u2014 both professionally and in leading her international sales team. Her perception of herself improved. She finally allowed herself to simply be who she was. She realized that she did not need to compare herself with the people and role models she had originally associated with that position. She only needed to be herself and give her best.\n\nAnd so she grew into her leadership role and learned how to handle many difficult situations and the experiences that came with them. She became more confident. She also came to understand that the role models she once admired were also only human beings \u2014 with their own flaws and weaknesses. Gradually, she began to feel equally valuable \u2014 eventually at least equally valuable. Because she knew what she contributed to the company.\n\nLooking back after 30 years, she was deeply grateful that she had made that decision back then. She would not have become the same woman otherwise. She would have lived a different life and would never have gathered the same experiences.\n\nSo many experiences she could never have imagined even in her wildest dreams. So many journeys around the world where she met wonderful customers. Many difficult and important negotiations where the future of the company was sometimes at stake. Achieving full production capacity at the highest possible price, maximizing margins in a highly competitive market, securing jobs. Her task was to act as the gatekeeper \u2014 deciding which orders should be accepted for the good of the company and which needed to be turned away.\n\nThis did not always make her popular within her team because she often had to confront them with difficult discussions in order to achieve higher-level goals. She fought like a lioness for the company\u2019s success. She gave everything she had. In the end, she became one of the company\u2019s key pillars \u2014 the business itself. She was not sure if all the effort she was taking was as recognized by her male colleagues.\n\nThroughout all those years, she could always look herself in the mirror knowing that she had invested all her strength and done her very best \u2014 conscientiously, not out of ego or self-promotion. She felt she had led her team well through both good and difficult times because she understood what leadership truly meant. Team leadership became second nature to her \u2014 part of her DNA.

\n\nHer daughter grew up alongside her, shaped by her values and mindset, observing what her mother demonstrated through her actions. This often happens unconsciously. In time, her daughter became the very best version of herself. She was incredibly proud of her and could hardly believe what an extraordinary person she had become. It exceeded all her expectations.\n\nHer daughter is a person with a big heart and a sharp mind. In many ways, she became even stronger than her mother \u2014 more self-confident, dynamic, committed, courageous, open-minded, and versatile. And what both of them value deeply: completely independent and firmly grounded in life. What indescribable happiness she feels to have her daughter in her life. She knows this cannot be taken for granted, even when parents try their very best. She is profoundly grateful for this gift her daughter has given her.

\n\nGradually, however, the time came when her work no longer fulfilled her. Circumstances had changed. She had matured and could no longer see or feel a new challenge ahead. The support and momentum were gone. Personal stagnation. It was time for change.\n\nBut what should she do now, at 50+? What was she truly good at? What was she passionate about? Where could she create value for others?\n\nAfter 30 years, she finally chose a new path. Everything has its time. Through intensive coaching and guided self-reflection during her Life & Business Coach training, she discovered who she now wanted to be, how she wanted to live, and what she wanted her life to look like in five years.\n\nShe stepped into a new life that felt right for her. The time for reflection had been immensely helpful. In the end, during this intense period of change, trust in her own path won over the doubting voice inside her.\n\nShe was deeply grateful that she had taken the time to reflect. This new chapter finally felt aligned with the next phase of her life.\n\nAnd that is exactly what makes life truly fulfilling.\n\nNot success defined solely by the highest possible income. That may simply be a pleasant side effect.

\n\nNew education and training expanded her horizons and opened up new perspectives. She wanted to pass on her experiences and decided to pursue a career as a management consultant and business coach \u2014 a role in which she could apply and share her decades of leadership experience while following her inner drive to help other people facing similar professional and personal challenges.\n\nFrom then on, she wanted to help other leaders learn how to deal well with challenges and grow through them \u2014 ultimately improving both their quality of life and their leadership skills. That became her new mission.

\n\nf I had known as a young person that I was allowed to trust myself more, life would have been easier for me.\n\nIf there is one thing I would like to pass on to others, it is this: stepping out of your comfort zone and trusting yourself and your own inner system is worth it.\n\nNothing terrible can happen. The worst-case scenario is that you gain new experiences and continue to grow. Would that really be so terrible? \ud83d\ude0a No \u2014 quite the opposite. Every step leads us to the next one.

Es war einmal eine junge Frau. Nachdem sie die Hotelfachschule in Salzburg absolvierte, arbeitete sie in der Hotellerie in \u00d6sterreich und der Schweiz. Sie bekam mit 23 Jahren ein Kind, eine Tochter namens Teres. Sie war alleinerziehend und musste von der gro\u00dfen weiten Welt in ihren Heimatort zur\u00fcckkehren, und ihre Tr\u00e4ume von der gro\u00dfen weiten Welt waren f\u00fcr sie geplatzt. Es war nicht einfach. Sie konnte ihren damaligen Traum, Stewardess zu werden, nicht ausf\u00fchren, brauchte in der Zeit geregelte Arbeitszeiten und musste sich auch beruflich ver\u00e4ndern.<\/p>\n

Sie liebte Englisch und Franz\u00f6sisch und fand schlie\u00dflich einen Job als Sekret\u00e4rin in einem namhaften Industrieunternehmen. Sie startete als Sekret\u00e4rin des Eigent\u00fcmers und interessierte sich zu Beginn weniger f\u00fcr dieses Produkt \u2013 sehr industriell, sehr technisch. Es war ihr fremd. Das \u00e4nderte sich rasch. Sie f\u00fchlte sich in ihrem neuen Metier immer wohler. Sie entwickelte eine Leidenschaft f\u00fcr ihre internationalen Kunden, das Gesch\u00e4ft, das Produkt und mochte ihr neues Umfeld immer mehr. So kam es, dass sie nach und nach immer mehr Verantwortung \u00fcbertragen bekam. Sie bekam R\u00fcckenwind ihrer damaligen F\u00fchrungskr\u00e4fte. Sie wurde nach einigen Jahren die Leiterin des Customer Service. Nachdem sie schon richtig gut darin wurde und ihren Chef, den damaligen Vertriebsleiter, inhaltlich und mit mehr F\u00fchrungsaufgaben tatkr\u00e4ftig unterst\u00fctzte, schlug das damalige Management Team des Unternehmens ihr vor, dass sie nach ihm die internationale Vertriebsleitung eines gro\u00dfen Unternehmens mit \u20ac 100 Mio. Umsatz wurde. Sie war geschockt. Sie sagte sich: \u201eIch Vertriebsleiterin? So viel Verantwortung \u00fcbernehmen? Konnte und wollte ich so viel Druck aushalten? Nicht mehr so beliebt bei den Kollegen zu sein, weil ich zu ihrer Vorgesetzten wurde? W\u00fcrden mich unsere Kunden als Frau in einer M\u00e4nnerdom\u00e4ne ernst nehmen? Entspreche ich dem Bild eines Sales Directors?\u201c Ihre Antworten waren: \u201eNein, vermutlich nicht.\u201c Sie war ja au\u00dferdem zufrieden mit ihrem Leben und Berufsleben, wo sie schon war und wohl f\u00fchlte. Sie f\u00fchlte sich zu klein und dieser gro\u00dfen Verantwortung nicht gewachsen. Sie sagte ab. Das damalige Management Team wusste, sie konnte es, aber sie war mental noch nicht so weit. Sie lie\u00dfen ihr Zeit ganz viel Zeit. Nach 6 Monaten, in der sie auf sie warteten, war sehr ambivalent. Von ja zu nein. Von nein zu ja. So ging es hin und her von Zweifel zu Chance und allem, was dazwischen lag. Sie beschloss schlie\u00dflich, sich es zuzutrauen, denn so eine Chance bekam sie vermutlich nie wieder. Sie fasste all ihren Mut zusammen und sprang ins kalte Wasser. Was siegte, war der verinnerlichte Satz: \u201eWas konnte sie verlieren, als eine wertvolle Erfahrung zu sammeln?\u201c Die ersten beiden Jahre waren hart. Sie hatte schlaflose N\u00e4chte und setzte sich unter Druck. Er entstand in erster Linie an ihrem inneren Dialog, mit dem sie sich im Weg stand. Doch mit der Zeit f\u00fchlte sie sich immer wohler in ihrer Rolle. Sie wuchs hinein, und sie realisierte mit der Zeit immer mehr, jawohl – sie kann es. Sie wuchs schnell in ihrer F\u00fchrungsrolle und lernte mit vielen schwierigen Situationen umzugehen. Es waren viele schwierige Situationen, aber es entstand immer mehr das Gef\u00fchl, dass sie damit besser umgehen lernte. Nach 30 Jahren war sie r\u00fcckblickend so froh, dass sie sich damals dazu entschieden hat. Sie w\u00e4re nicht die gleiche Frau. Sie h\u00e4tte ein anderes Leben gef\u00fchrt. Sie h\u00e4tte nicht die gleichen Erfahrungen gesammelt. So viele Erlebnisse, die sie sich nicht in ihren k\u00fchnsten Tr\u00e4umen vorstellen h\u00e4tte k\u00f6nnen. So viele Reisen in die ganze Welt, in denen sie gro\u00dfartige Kunden kennen lernte. Viele harte Verhandlungen, in denen es manchmal um die Wurst f\u00fcr das Unternehmen ging. Volle Auslastung zum h\u00f6chstm\u00f6glichen Preis erzielen in einem dicht besiedelten Markt \u2013 Arbeitspl\u00e4tze sichern. Ihre Aufgabe war es, eine Torfrau zu sein, was rein dufte und was nicht. Sie k\u00e4mpfte wie eine L\u00f6win um den Unternehmenserfolg. Sie gab daf\u00fcr alles, was in ihr steckte. Sie war schlie\u00dflich eine der wichtigsten S\u00e4ulen f\u00fcr das Wohl des Unternehmens. Sie konnte sich in den Spiegel schauen, dass sie ihre ganze Kraft daf\u00fcr einsetzte, auch wenn es ihrem Team nicht immer gefiel so hohe Preise durchzusetzen. Die Kundengespr\u00e4che waren manchmal sehr herausfordernd. Sie hatte das Gef\u00fchl, dass sie ihr Team in guten und schlechten Zeiten gut leitete, weil sie wusste, was ihre Leadership Aufgabe war. Es wurde zu ihrer Routine und ging in ihre DNA \u00fcber.<\/p>\n

Allm\u00e4hlich kam die Zeit, wo es sie nicht mehr so erf\u00fcllte. Die Umst\u00e4nde hatten sich ge\u00e4ndert. Sie selbst war auch gereift und konnte keine neue Herausforderung mehr sehen und f\u00fchlen. Auch gab es keinen R\u00fcckenwind mehr. Pers\u00f6nlicher Stillstand. Es rief nach Ver\u00e4nderung. Was sollte sie mit mittlerweile 50+ jetzt angehen? Was konnte sie gut? Wof\u00fcr brannte sie? Nach 30 Jahren ging sie schlie\u00dflich einen neuen Weg. Alles zu seiner Zeit. Sie wusste nach einem intensiven Coaching mit gef\u00fchrten Selbstreflexionen, wer sie nun sein wolle, wie sie in Zukunft leben wolle, wie ihr Leben in 5 Jahren aussehen sollte. Sie wagte den Sprung in das Leben, das sich richtig f\u00fcr sie anf\u00fchlte. Es war sehr hilfreich. Am Ende hat ihr Vertrauen in sich selbst auf ihren Weg wiederum in der Phase des starken Wandels gegen\u00fcber der Zweiflerin gesiegt. Sie war so dankbar, dass sie sich damit auseinandersetzte. Es f\u00fchlte sich nun stimmig f\u00fcr die neue Lebensphase an.<\/p>\n

Neue Ausbildungen erweiterten ihren Horizont und er\u00f6ffneten neue Perspektiven. Sie wollte ihre Erfahrungen weitergeben und beschloss, eine Karriere als Unternehmensberaterin und Business Coach zu verfolgen. Eine Aufgabe, in der sie ihre jahrzehntelange Erfahrung im Leadership anwenden und weitergeben konnte und gleichzeitig ihrem inneren Antrieb nachgehen konnte – anderen Menschen zu helfen, denen es \u00e4hnlich geht. Und zwar jetzt. Sie wollte ab nun anderen F\u00fchrungskr\u00e4ften helfen, mit Herausforderungen gut umgehen zu lernen und zu wachen. Und am Ende des Tages, ihre Lebensqualit\u00e4t zu verbessern. Das Leben als Ganzes sehen, nicht nur von der Arbeit. Das ist ihre neue Mission.<\/p>\n

H\u00e4tte ich damals schon gewusst, dass ich mir mehr vertrauen darf, w\u00e4re es einfacher f\u00fcr mich gewesen.
Wenn ich anderen etwas mit auf ihren Weg mitgeben will, ist, dass es sich lohnt, sich aus der Komfortzone herauszuwagen und auf sich und sein eigenes System zu vertrauen.
